One Day Course - Mental Health First Aid Champion

Empower your organisation to deliver on your wellbeing strategy by building up a network of MHFA Champions. This course is a practical skills and awareness course designed to give you:

• The knowledge and confidence to provide Mental Health First Aid for the most common mental health issues
• An understanding of how to help build a mentally healthy workplace, challenge stigma and support positive wellbeing

How will attending an MHFA England course help?

Research and evaluation shows that taking part in an MHFA England course: −

• Raises awareness and mental health literacy
• Reduces stigma around mental ill health
• Boosts knowledge and confidence in dealing with mental health issues
• Promotes early intervention which enables recovery

Cost

£200 pp
Includes free MHFA reference book and workbook, which will be posted prior to course (virtual) or on 1st day of course (face to face).

Number of participants

Maximum of 16 on each course.

Format

• This is a one day course delivered either face-to-face (recommended) or via online video conferencing
• Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities
• We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn

Everyone who completes the course gets:

A certificate of attendance to say you are Mental Health First Aid Champion.
A manual to refer to whenever you need it.
A quick reference card for Mental Health First Aid action plan.
A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health.
